Comprehensive technology planning addresses the vital issues associated with maintaining a strong and effective educational program within Indian Country. This includes incorporating state-of-the-art technology and employing the best available practices to improve academic achievement and provide professional development for faculty and staff.

Strategic planning is essential to achieving healthy application of technology in the educational environment. Strategic planning for each school is a critical component to achieving proper alignment of technology within the schools. As a result BIE will continue to focus on building and maintaining detailed technology plans that align with the Federal enterprise architecture mandated under the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996.
